Perhaps holding the "down" button when Info is selected in the top-level menu should bring up the Details box, like holding the Info button on the remote?

Holding the "Down" button already has a function. A few different ones, actually.

If you don't like its function, I think it might be possible to remap it using Mlord's hijack kernel. Anyone know if that's possible?

I thought it only had functions for "Playlists" and for items under that (and outside of menus, of course). I couldn't find anything to say what it would do on "Info", and trying it just gave me the usual key-repeat behaviour.

Perhaps you've got something that's changed since beta3? (In which case, what's the new behaviour?)

Its behavior when on an info screen should be the same as it was in 1.03: It should toggle between a visual mode and a text mode.

If it isn't doing that toggle, then it's either a bug or something is odd about your player.

I wasn't talking about an info screen.

I was talking about the "Info" menu item on the top-level menu.

When you press-and-hold the "Playlists" menu item, you get special behaviour (the last playlist you selected).

I'm suggesting similar special behaviour for the "Info" menu item.
