I offer some variations of the snow. If the formations are placed on the bottom of the letters, it will look like icicles! Perhaps make the snow invisible and just have icicles?

You can allow for discolorations in the letters where the snow lands, instead of it piling up. (e.g. acid rain). Make it nice and drippy.

How about, if too much snow lands on a letter, it starts to wiggle under the weight of the snow, perhaps even become unhinged and break off. Perhaps just wiggle enough to shake the snow off.

How about a combination of Flancedoor and Snow? Dancing in the snow?
