How do you que the next playlist of songs when you have a playlist on the Empeg already running? Is this possible?

if you are running the 2.0 beta you can by browsing to the next list you want to play and press and hold the knob then a menu will come up it insert, append, and replace select append and that's it.

if you still have the software version (1.02 or 1.03 ?) that came on the player you can't do this

Hmmm. Maybe I should figure out why 2.0 beta7 does not see the Empeg on WinblowsMe/usb...

Maybe you should use ethernet, because my brother's ME also won't see his new player over USB (I upgraded it to b7 last night).

Yes you can if you're using a crossover cable. I used to go about it that way before I got my hub.

That is what i do with mine when at the girlfriends or using laptop and i even have one threaded through the car into the back of the empeg when it is in the car.

Yes, but it has to be a crossover cable. Search a bit the BBS and you will even find how to crimp one yourself (along with advice not to, but to buy a pre-asembled one, but not in Raadio Shack ) See also FAQ.
