I was assured there would be tuners still within 90 days, that was about 60 days ago, but i don't see them at the online store... what gives, are they all gone?

I think they're all gone. Tried to order one and got an e-mail they they wer out of stock.

Looks like everything Rio Car related got real popular starting around dec 27th. especially on e-bay

If that was two months ago, it was long before someone made the decision to dump the entire stock at Christmas - nobody knew that was going to happen. I'm still surprised anyone gave you a stock estimate in terms of days.

If you read the other recent threads on this subject you'll get an update on the status. We're confident of finding a way to make more tuners if enough people want them.

The Sonic Blue e-store has listed the tuner as having "sold out". They have also deleted the link to the tuner page from their e-store site. For those who would still like to see for themselves, I had bookmarked the link when I was trying to order one:

FYI: I ordered on 1/3/02 from the uS Store. I ordered the Tuner, 20GB model, and faceplate kit.

THe tuner was listed as out of stock on the web site.

However, it showed up in the box with the Empeg unit & the faceplattes.

I would guess someone liked me and gave me the last one or something.

Up until the 1/4th (at least), tuners would still ship. No luck after 1/7 =(
