I have been starting to learn C++, in order to make my Empeg display the data from my GMC Typhoon's computer. In particular I want to display, KNOCK< BOOST< O2

I have a basic program (attached) that takes the data from the ALDL and displays it in DOS.

I am new to the Linux thing, in the week I have had Empeg, already have 650 songs on, updated to beta version, installed HiJack, custom Car boot screen, and connected via terminal program. Learning curve is alive and well.

Rather than rewrite the code, can I just modify this program to display the few things I want? Any help would be great, or direction on where to read up, study, etc.
