For HiJack, just click the HiJack link top right.

You need Tony's logo editor to upload it.

Logo images are on http://www.riocar.org. For hijack follow the link at the top of this page. If you use Tony's Logo editor for uploading, you don't have to know addresses (but they are 10000 for kernel, a000 for logos).

Yeah Jonathon,

Just download Tony's Logo Editor. Import your images (or create your own OR download some from the RioCar.org site). And then send them to the player. IT is as easy as it sounds. You'll need the serial cable that came with the RioCar to put the logos on.

Tony's editor can also be used up send the HiJack Kernal to the player.

Ask Toby nicely (or phone local empeg's pub - Wrestler's - with your credit car details)

Seriously, there is no way to add custom visuals (for now). Whatever Toby of Prolux fame comes up with, that's it (not that I need more now that I have voiceprint...)

Have one? You mean the Logo Editor? Ok fire it up and then just go to the Explorer and drag the .Zimage file from the Hijack site and drop it onto the editor, then stand back.

OK. setup: you need to have a working serial link connected to your player. Have you verified that yet? You can prove that it works if you start Hyperterminal and then apply power to your player. You should see the boot sequence of the player. Once you're sure it is working, then quit Hyperterminal and then proceed with the drag/drop operation as described above and it should work.

Have fun.

Your posts seem to indicate that you have been missing the FAQ section of www.riocar.org. Almost all of your questions are answered there.

I have one visial that is supposidly a "plugin"

Plugins are usually a plugin for something. You rarely see the word Plugin used by itself. For instance, there are "Photoshop Plugins", "Browser Plugins", and "Winamp Plugins".

The Rio Car is not Photoshop, it is not a Browser, and it is not Winamp. So unless your plugin is a "Rio Car Plugin", odds are it won't work with the player.

Note: There is no such thing as a Rio Car Plugin at this time.

You mean I can't use my despeckle filter plugin to clean up some of the noise in my songs?

That would give a new meaning to the line "Turn the beat around"

(ducks for cover)

You'd be surprised how much audio processing filters have in common with image processing filters. A dirt-remover filter does pretty much the same thing in the Audio realm as it does in the video realm.
