Is anyone into constructing a serial controller box?
A little black box hanging off the serial port in the car which takes responses from line high, line low or line pulses and sends commands to the Empeg as required.


Scenarios:

if you have your carphone installed it sends a line high when a call comes in, this tells the box to send the 'pause track' string.

Your Empeg is always on, the box tells it when to sleep and wake up, allowing 'instant access'.

The 'inflate airbag' line goes high and tells the Empeg to assume crash position and brace for inmpact. It then releases the oxygen from the overhead compartments and assists you to the emergency exits.
