Wouldn't it be nice if you could use a casio's serial interface to command the empeg unit? You could build a custom interface and pass on the commands to the player via the serial connection. That way your player gets an active Color TFT display with touch screen! Maybe you can even use it as a diagnostic tool or use the IR to control the unit. But I'm no programmer so I can't do it myself. I do have the Casio E-105 here, and a player soon. Anyone who could do this ?

I am looking at trying to get something similar. I want to be able to get the current song info on my Casio E-105. I will be mounting my empeg under my seat and want to use the PalmPC for the display.

I will keep you posted about what I find.
