I'm so close to buying one of these things from sonicblue...

I just have one question.
With the input on the RIO Car, can I plug a portable radio into it and get my radio through that?

If it has a line output to two RCAs (or by adapters), then you could attach it to the Aux input on the back of the empeg, but you'd have to operate the radio using the radio's controls.

Alright, so I'd just have to run a wire to the back of the player and the portable radio can sit on my seat for when I feel like listening to cheesy morning shows... excellent!

Hopefully I can find/get a tuner for less than evil ebay prices eventually

It think it a matter of patience. If you can bare a 4-6 month wait - i think and have a hope that some of the cheap mk2a and accessories will be on sale, from those tired of their toys

This one is, I believe, covered by this FAQ entry.
