Im creating my playlist using the artist names, a seperat play list for each artist. Is there a faster way to add the tracks.Olpening one track at a time is taking forever.

Make sure everything is already stored on your computer with a folder structure matching what you want for playlists. Then just drag the entire structure over to emplode. Presto. You're done.

If you need to put things into proper folders, look at tagger programs like MP3 Tag Studio. Tag and Rename was just mentioned as a good tag manipulator, but I don't know if it does folder creation.

You can just drag and drop your folder structure (assuming you're using windows of course) into emplode. If you have your mp3's organized in a good folder structure, like Artist -> Album -> Songs, then organizing in emplode is a breeze.

Make sure you are connected to the empeg in emplode, then click the "playlists" icon in the tree on the left, then drag the files to the window on the right. That doesn't work?

no it doesnt that what im tryiny to do. im using the rio straight out of the box no upgrades to any thing im using windows 98

Weird. Unless v1.02 didn't have drag and drop.... which i certainly don't recall. Try upgrading your player and then emplode to v1.03 and see if that helps. Otherwise... i'm stumped.

I vaguely remember someone else mentioning not being able to do drags in the past. 1.03 is the latest fully stable release, so you may as well give it a try. Drag and drop definitely works in 1.03 and all 2.0 betas released to the public.

When you drag a single folder to emplode (regardless of its contents), it will create a playlist. Anything inside that folder also gets brought over. Other folders make other playlists and any mp3s get added as tracks. Just like copying things in Explorer.

Thanks for your reply I got it to work. made about six play list then it stoped agian and wouldnt let me drag and drop.I gona upgrade like you said.Thanks for your time helping.

If I remember correctly, one of the Empeg guys said once that the only thing that was really different between 1.02 and 1.03 is the added tuner support. So that wouldn't have made the difference.
