well powered on my player today.. accidently did a whole hard drive playlist, then they played showed as the song playing as 0000:Waiting.. and thats all it shows now whenever i try and play a song, any song for that matter, i cant play a thing, and for some reason the visuals still play with i have no idea, i get no audio, no nothing.. and in the shell it dosnt even show anything playing as far as loading the decoder.. it just shows

well i got it back thank god, i went down to 1.03, and it worked again.. im going to try and bring ti back up to 2.03 and see if i can get it to work then..

Mine did something very similar a few days ago. I was frigging around with mounting the debian distribution to play with so that may not have helped.

Anyhoo, I tried reloading 2.0b7 and although it worked, and pumped etc. the unit still did the 0000 waiting thing.

Downgrading to 1.03 and then back upto 2.0b7 and everything was sweet.

BTW: Can anyone tell me exactly what pumping is? It's not in the FAQ that I can find and seems to be fairly important since it takes quite a while.

I think 'pumping' (in this context) refers to sending content of the root partition over to empeg (after the flash with kernel and stuff has already been programmed).
