I have developer kernel version 2.0b7 loaded.
I was syncing my player after loading some tunes on, and got an error which said...
"synchronize failed while rebuilding database"
Read on socket failed (error 0x8004003d)
Initalizing (song) failed to sync (error 0x80072746)

then the player hangs on the "synchronizing" screen,
I reboot the player, it then takes a LONG time on the "Building Music Databse" screen, eventually it boots, I then connect with emplode, it says "checking disk integrity" which takes a while. After which it boots, and says there were warnings, looking at detail it said playlist size is smaller than number of childs. So I do another Sync, it then works fine.
I then tried testing by uploading 1 song in a playlist, it threw up the same errors as above, rebooted and same situation, it did a "Checking disk integirty", took a long time. After syncing correctly, then deleting the playlist which error'd before, I resyncd.
I connected the serial and booted the player, it checked for the HDDs, they came up fine, the player booted correctly and started playing a song.
Then as a test in emplode I added a playlist, and added 1 song into it. I then tried a Sync, and got the SAME error!!,
and looked at the serial output, this is what it threw out...

Try doing a full downgrade to 1.03 emplode and player, then see if you can fix it by re-synching.

Ok, soooooo I downgraded to dev 1.03, resynched, and then uploaded some tumes, and resynched again, and she's all fine
however I still got the following errors when synching

I once asked about those errors and empeg guys said to just ignore them.
