Wonder if anyones left over at Sonicblue. Heck I even
bought a second larger unit. I'd offer the first for sale
for the original price (vs. difference in refund) as I
don't use it.

Do realize that they didn't have to do it in the first place, and that a bunch of people got theirs before they (most likely) stopped that procedure, due to how much money they were losing.

You should be calling them, as no one who reads this BBS can do anything about it.

If he qualifies and sent a request in time then he should get the discount. It's best to talk to someone on the phone rather than email.

It was the 10g when they were $800us? I wrote in within
a month of the purchase and several days of the price
change. Then called to follow up in Jan. I will call again
today hopefully with better results. I have since also
purchased a 60 gig at the incredible bargain price.
I did get a tuner with the original order as well.

I was just trolling for customer service or responses from
others who did get a response from Sonic blue and
might have some suggestions, sorry folks.

Hate to pay such a difference. I guess I could auction
off the unit as it is unused, but it seems a shame to lump
that cost onto someone else on ebay or whereever.

I'll update later on with whatever happens.

Same here -- I couldn't even get a spot in line for the phone queue, but Jim took care of it the day I e-mailed him about it. He also helped coordinate the 60GB I returned.

You're right there, but nonwithstanding the suggestion is just a bad joke...
CALLING sonicblue... I'd rather have to invent cold fusion or the perpetuum mobile; would be more successful.
