My plays counter hasn't been incrementing for a while. Seems to be since I downgraded from v2.0b7 to 1.03, then back to v2.0b7. I thought I remembered reading something about resetting the metadata, but this doesn't seem to have worked as they still are not counting up. I'm running the vanilla v2.0b11 consumer as of today.

Any thoughts on what I can do to fix this, or is it a known bug. I searched and searched but couldn't find a relavant post or message in the FAQ.

They changed it so that in 2.0b7, the visual counter gets incremented at the end of the song. I think they still increment the internal counter at 5 seconds, though. Try playing the song and watching the play counter at the very end of the song.

I think resetting metadata did correct a problem I was having previously, I just didn't notice becuase I was expecting to see it change at 4(or 5) seconds.

In any event. It's now working.
