Alright I have Hijack and I downloaded cuteFTP and ive ever connected to the empeg but I cant get a directory listing. Can someone please kinda give me a run down on how to get this working

Hm... there shouldn't be anything you'd have to do other than connect to get a directory listing. As long as you haven't set kftpd off in the config.ini or anything weird... a stock hijack install should work just fine via ftp.

Can you see it with a browser (http)?

weird, looks like it doesn't like the passive command that cuteFTP is sending. I don't use cute so i can't be of much help. Is there a way to take it out of passive mode? Anyone use cute successfully?

SmartFTP was recommended a little while back. It's free and pretty good. Nice interface and you can define hot keys (for things like SITE commands).

Yes, turning passive mode on and off is a configuration option in Cute.

You'd think after all that (over-?) checking it does to see if it can resume downloads that it could check the response from the PASV to see if it'll do that, too. I'd send in a bug report.
