I have a 95 pathfinder with a sony xr-c6100 deck and ten disk changer. I want to run both the empeg and the deck together. I have included a picture of my deck. I am not sure what my options are for running both decks. Can I run the empeg through the Bus Audio In jacks or will that eliminate my cd changer? Also I didnt do the installation myself so I am not sure how the Sony deck is currently installed. Also if I didnt run both of the decks how much trouble would it be to install just the Empeg since I already have the sony installed. Would it just be a matter of swapping them out, then hooking it up to the internal amp? If so could someone post details on hooking it up to the internal amp for a pathfinder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting. Maybe you can daisy-chain the CD changer input through the empeg's aux-in port?

In the original installation, did it go like this?
Cd Changer-> Bus Audio In

If it did that, then maybe you can do this:
Cd Changer-> Empeg Aux In
and
Empeg Front Line Outs -> Bus Audio In.

If that works, you're golden. Just set the head-unit to "Cd changer", leave a CD in the changer, and use the Empeg to switch back and forth between Aux and MP3 Player.

I have found through research that you need a converter xa-300 in order to use the BUS in as an AUX in.....that is 100 bucks.

Right, but that's only if you don't have a CD changer already installed.

If you want to get rid of the CD changer, then yes, you need the $100.00 part. But if you want to keep the CD changer, it might be cool to see if the daisychain works.

I'd be interested in knowing.
