Will we be seeing any command line utils for dos or windows.

I do use linux but prefer windows (at the moment, i'm getting there), with my scripting knowlegde, I would like to be able to run a small script that could check for new files then send them into my MK1 unit, thus saving plenty of time.

emptool used to compile for Win32 command line but I believe it got a little broken recently. I would imagine it will be cleaned up and fixed in due course, as we intend to provide source in the not too distant future.

Sorry to belabor a point I already made at least twice in other threads, but do you guys have a projected date for releasing the emptool source? Still trying to figure out how to get music on to this thing when my number finally comes up :-)

In theory it should coincide with the first full consumer release, which in turn should coincide with the launch of the Mark 2 on June 9th.

Emptool is maintained by a programmer who is also responsible for some other rather important things such as RDS and voice recognition (he gets all the bum deals!) - so the emptool source release has been known to slip a little in priority.

I can't see how sending alcolhol to someone will speed up the process.

I know that my reaction would be to drink it immediately....
