Since Rio Car has discontinued the units. Now what? How do I get parts if some fail? What about servicing the unit? Do I have 2 service it myself? Why doesn't Empeg pick it back up again? They started it. It seems they were doing fine a few years ago. Then when Rio merged with Empeg (which was cool). Now Rio drops the Rio Car. What gives? I don't understand.

To answer the question of "Why was it discontinued?", the answer is that they couldn't sell enough of them due to the price. The product is extremely high quality, so it costs a lot of money to make. They couldn't move enough units at a profit. Only after they dropped the price to close-out levels (significantly below manufacturing cost) did they begin to sell in large quantities.
