Not sure how to word this -- I'm not able to see all my songs when I HTTP to my empeg player. Is there a limit to how many songs will be displayed on the webpage? Haven't tried to FTP to the player yet.

Can you give more details?

When you say you can't see all songs, what do you mean? What HTTP address are you entering, and is anything appearing on the screen?

For instance, do you get a partial list? If so, what's in the list and what's missing?

When I launch emplode/Jemplode I see all the songs I have on my empeg (which is good !!). When I access the empeg as a URL by typing in the appropriate I.P. address, and click on playlist, Some of the songs that normally appear in Jemplode/emplode don't appear in the html generated list.
Again I apologize for my lack of a good description

44 songs are not displayed when I log into the empeg via the HiJack web server function. My most favorite songs. I hate it when that happens.

The hijack HTML screen can only display playlists and their contents.

Emplode and Jemplode will also display the Soup views. Those will not appear in playlists.

Is that the problem you're having?

Note that the Soup views can't be played on the car player yet unless you perform an alphanumeric search. The "playlists" menu on the player can only play playlists. See here for more information about the Soup.

Also, what version of Hijack are you running?

I had all my songs stashed in the Unattached playlist folder.
I created a new playlist folder and moved everything into it.
That resolved it. Still not sure what the discrepancy is but things are good. Thanks for you help.

Unattached simply means that the songs are not in any playlist. So, from the player's front panel (in your car for example) those songs would be unavailable. Likewise, HiJack will only show what is in a playlist. I guess you could "stash" stuff you don't want appearing all the time (sound effects, holiday music) but once you get 2.00 installed (sounds like you may want to wait for a non-beta version) you can set up filters.

I thought Hijack wasn't designed to run on a non-2.0
is this correct?

If he's using Hijack, he's already got a 2.0 beta installed...

Oh yeah.... hmm... well 2.0 doesn't have an "Unattached Folder". So riddle me that!

It does if you use Jemplode.

Yes it does. "Unattached Items" never went anywhere. It's still around, but normal "Emplode" now "hides" it.
