Can you send me a link to one of the MP3's you're importing? I'll take a look... Did it used to work? (I'm temporarily using a different ID3 parser than I used to because of a couple issues with the other one)

I'm seeing this too; It seems to be just files that have ID3 v2.2 tags... if I update the same file to v2.3 the tags get read in correctly, and conversely if I take a v2.3 file that works correctly and downgrade it to v2.2 they don't get read.

Ironic, since the ID3 import code in the Rio Receiver software has _exactly_ the same problem -- it won't read v2.2 tags, either. I haven't looked (yet) to find out why, though.

I'm using a 3rd-party ID3 parser now .. I'll take a look at his code and see what's up. If I track it down, I'll post on here so maybe you can look at the equivalent part of the Receiver code...

I noticed this earlier today myself. I also use MP3-Tag Studio 2.17. With JEmplode 34 I just got the filename for the title. I deleted the songs from the player and then reloaded them with Rio Emplode and the tag parsing worked fine. Is it a different tag parsing routine between Emplode and JEmplode perhaps?

Oh, most definitely. Emplode uses an ID3 library developed in-house. I've no idea what JEmplode uses.

For a point of reference, the Rio Receiver software uses ID3Lib, so if JEmplode uses something derived from that, it might explain the ID3v2.2 issue.

I'm using jd3lib right now, which is probably a port from id3lib.

Bear in mind that ID3 v2.0/2.1/2.2 is basically a completely different format to v2.3/2.4 (it has three-byte frame tags and sizes)...
