I want to install my rio thru the aux input in my cd player which is connect to an amp.

Do I still need to boost the signal coming out of the rio (like the OEM) or is the input sound quality good enough.

I am knew at this so please excuse if this question doens't make any sense.

I would expect that the manual for your CD player tells what voltage input it's expecting on the aux input lines. The empeg's manual lists what it's putting out (I forget what it is right now). If they're the same, then you should be good to go. If the empeg's lower, you might need to invest in some sort of mini-amplifier, maybe like the PAC Turbo-1? If the empeg's higher, I don't know what you should do other than lock your volume at a fairly low level.
