Ok, so I got my backup MkIIa today and I want to put the logo from my other player onto it. Well, there's a problem: I don't have the original logo image anywhere, and I'm too lazy to re-create it. So, that brings me to my question: Is there a way to download a logo from one player so I can upload it to the other? If not, I guess I'm just going to have to make it again.....Arrrgh

I think you can do this with Hijack. I think it's /proc/empeg_bootlogos but not certain. Trying it now. If I can get it to work, I will post exact keystrokes for you in a moment.

Requirements:

1) Ethernet access to the player.
2) Known player IP address or network name.
3) Recent version of Hijack installed.

Open up a DOS window. In the statement "FTP EMPEG" below, replace the word EMPEG with the IP address or network name of your player:

Now the file "my_logos.bin" exists on your hard disk. You may open this file directly in the empeg logo editor software.

Killer. Thanks Tony, that saves me a lot of time having to re-create that logo. I figured it was going to end up being something easy like that, more than likely requiring a HiJack kernel. I should've thought of that before, but I guess I'm just too lazy to look myself.
