i don’t know if it's my router that is trying to die on me or my ISP that is trying to dick me out of bandwidth, but after about three hours my bandwidth starts dropping. If i reset my router (not my cable modem) my bandwidth it restored to it's former 300K/s. I looked through the routers setup and restored everything to default. Can anyone tell me what's going on or direct me to something i can read about how to optimize my router configurations.

You might want to try your ISP's local newsgroups if they have any. That would be a good place to get info specfic to your router.

You may be infected with Code Red virus.
