For those who don't follow Blue's News Link of the Day regularly, the attached shockwave game (open it with your web browser) is wonderfully frustrating. I apologize in advance for any sleep lost on this one.
If it's any consolation, there are only 15 levels, and they are winnable. Just won 15. Didn't actually take that long, it's just fun the way it frustrates you.

How exactly do i go about playing this. I downloaded it and its a .swf file. I tried opening it with explorer, didn't work, even though i know i have shockwave? i'm a little *altered* right now.

Unzip it and drag the swf file onto an IE window.
So Tony, when are you releasing the level editor ?
;-)
P.S. I have the original physical version of this game, it is made by Binary Arts and called "RushHour".

The fact that he said it was a .swf file should have told you he managed to unzip it.

Visuvius, it's possible that you need a very recent version of shockwave flash in order to run it, so try grabbing the latest version from their site.

Actually it was featured recently in an MTV 'Road Rules vs Real World Challenge' competition. The contestants got the (real) game the night before with no information on what the challenge the following day would be, only that understanding the game would help them. The challenge was that they had to do this game with real Saturns on a big grid, the best time (for the teams of 2) won two Saturns. It was mildly amusing...

Not as much reply value as the mirror game, but some of the levels were very frusterating.

And the worst part is, all the animations you create for the rest of the day will only move in one plane.

Wow, Blue's News... reminds me of the days I spent avidly playing Quake
I can't believe the site is still alive. Blue must have reinvented himself 10x over

Stephen (Blue) hasn't changed a bit, and Blue's News is still the best gaming news site around. I think it's pretty much the same thing as it's always been, there have been no reinventions that I can see.
Blue and I are old internet-acquaintances (you'll see me mentioned on his Mouse Tips page and in his Doom Deathmatch Strategy Guide), and I actually had a chance to meet him once at a big LAN party in New York. Great bunch of people were there, and I got to spend a weekend with all of them, including the team from Ritual entertainment (Including Levelord) and Stevie Case (before her relationship with Romero and the Playboy photo shoot).
Most of the time, I just skim the news at Blue's site to see if there's anything really big going on in the gaming world. Then I scroll down to his "Out of the Blue" and "Link of the Day" sections at the bottom of each day's worth of news, those are always the best parts.

I was an avid Doom player, then made the move on to Quake. I joined Clan NBK which became 311. We had a couple Id Software people for members (john cash and bear). I ended up getting to know some of them pretty well. I got to do some design and testing on Capture The Flag, which ended up becoming part of Q2.
In the end, it was pretty cool and a few elements on the first CTF map that I did ended up making it into the Quake 2 commercial product. I loved being able to go to best buy, point at the box on the shelf and go "i have stuff on there!". Quite amusing for an 18 year old.
Oh yeah, and Kornelia was much better than Killcreek

I've met Kornelia and played against her a couple of times at the PlanetQuake "Beatdown" LAN parties. She is the business, isn't she?
And you wouldn't know it from just meeting her and talking to her. She's this really tiny person. Very short, small, skinny, soft-spoken girl. I guess "mousy" would be the best word to describe her. But get her into a Rocket Arena server and she is absolutely RUTHLESS. I remember being in a tourney and going up against her at some point in the ladder and being genuinely afraid.
I mean, I had no chance against her anyway, I'm nowhere near that good, but boy, her style can be simply intimidating. She's just amazing.
As I recall, she went home with the infamous "Bag 'o Chips" that weekend. (For those who don't know, the PlanetQuake Beatdown LAN parties have a giant bag of tortilla chips as the ultimate grand prize.)

Yeah, she was incredible.. She left 311 about a year past everyone else, and eventually it just died off. I just checked the web page yesterday and it';s up for renewal. It had been unedited and dead for at least 2 years.
Me and her used to spar every single night on my old server. She's a good sport and keeps you on your toes. We played as a team very well. Damn, I miss her now, i gotta find her! she was a sweetheart too.
