I'm planning on installing my mkII at a ~45 degree angle, and was wondering if anyone has run into any problems in the long run due to an angled installation.

What is says in the FAQ kinda gives an idea, but no real-life experience and feedback from users. Maybe somebody on the board has personal experience.

Not to knock the FAQ of course

Exactly, the FAQ entry was written quite a while ago, and a search of the board did not turn up any real data beyond initial success.

I've had mine installed at about a 45 degree (or worse) angle for about a year now, and other odd angles since I got it. I drive my truck almost every day. My empeg takes a licking and keeps on ticking!

I would guess the only part that would be a problem is the hdd and that is easily replaceable
