It seems that the black plug in the back of my empeg has become loose. I'm not sure how, as the two outside screwes are tighter 'n a doornail, but the black connector shifts and moves.
Now, I haven't opened my player up yet, which is why I'm posting this. I don't wanna voind warranty or anything - can it be tightened from the inside, or is it possible it actually /broke/ and isn't being held in by whatever's supposed to be holding it in? I sent David an e-mail, awaiting a responce on an 'OK' to open it up or not..

Thanks!
Me.

Actually, I had thought the same thing when I first started using the player...It's supposed to be loose so it can mate with the corresponding connector in the sled without any binding issues. If the wiring has not come off and the screws are tight, I'd say that you're all set.

Here is the FAQ

That's perfectly normal. You only need to worry when: (1) the connector feels tight instead of loose, or (2) the screws come loose, which may happen someday.
