It reminds me of something Bitt said in a similar thread something like 'I only use Western Digital drives because they bring out the colour in my jpegs' or something similar, of course he had his tongue firmly in his cheek when he posted it.

To be honest, I do use stuff like monster cables at work. We have hard disc units on our news cameras and Sony will relieve you of £120 for a cable, it's nothing particularly special, 6 pin with a locking mech on one end and a 4 pin right angle on the other. The monster-type cables last on average 6 months whereas your bargain bucket Scan sourced cable is dead in a day.
