SInce TiVo stopped innovating years ago and thanks to their various deals with other companies (such as their exclusive with WD for HD expansion), I wouldn't touch one again even if it included a lifetime sub at the base retail price.
I don't really care that much if they're innovative. I want it to just work, and have a reasonable UI that doesn't look like shit, which makes it pretty much the only game in town.
