I did not notice any problems at all in generating the file systems on the new drives. If there is a known problem, please let me know. Everything seemed to go very smoothly, however.

I know that I should have stress tested the drives more, but I was impatient, and wanted to see this...

Damn roundoff and funny disk drive math!!! Plus, I already loaded a few essential utilities on the disk (displayserver, network utilities, a zip of the full debian distribution, etc.).
