Ouch, that doesn't sound like fun.
I really must take this chance to share my favorite tech support call at work so far, and it wasn't the user's fault!
- the help desk had to move a PC for someone chaging positions
- so tech #1 moves it after the user left for the day
- after tech #1 returns to the help desk, tech #2 asks him if he logged onto the PC to verify it was working,
tech #1 says yes- the user calls tech #2 the next morning because their computer won't boot
- after tech#2 asks (three times) if the computer is plugged in, the user finally looks back there and says "hmm, there's no power chord"
We got her a power chord but never mentioned it to tech #1
