Sorry, not for me. Mine don't really dim when looking at it from the side either. It's sort of just slightly more white-washed. I'm not sure how to describe it. I think it's just the light emitting from the monitor that doesn't effect its clarity when viewing straight on. Anyway, from the side it doesn't look anything like something I should worry about.

I'm pretty sure that's also how the 24" widescreen at home looks too, so that's two votes for no yellow tint.
